- Trojan-A malicious program disguised as legitimate software.
- Worm-A program that can spread itself without a host. May come in to a computer through the Internet.

Avoiding Malware
- Run a less vulnerable Operating System such as Macintosh (available on Apple computers) or Linux.
- If you use a Windows computer make sure you run Windows Update.
- Use Antivirus software-keep it up to date!
- Be cautious-avoid opening email attatchments, peer to peer file sharing and installing software from dubious sources.
- Use a Broadband Router.
Removing Malware
- Keep Antivirus up to date. Microsoft offers a free antivirus
- Run removal tools provided by Antivirus companies
- Format and Reinstall your computer.
- Run an environment backup (whole computer) and restore to before the virus.
